Yes, the economic situation is scary. Yes, people are watching their pennies. But books are still one of the best bargains around.
Buy a book for yourself or as a gift, then post the title and author's name in the comment trail. Every time a book is purchased, we'll add its cover to the slideshow. Fiction or non-fiction; cookbooks or comic books; children's, e-books - they're all good! When a book is mentioned more than once, we'll list it as a favorite below.
Go ahead! Tell the world: How many books did YOU buy today*?

*Today - The Definition
- For the purpose of this effort, we're defining "today" in its broader sense. As long as the books were purchased very very recently, that's good enough for us. No one's going to check the date on your sales receipt!
- Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary:
- 2today
- Function:
- noun
- Date:
- 1535
: the present day, time, or age <today's youth>
